The newest crescent for Ramadan will start at 21:23 pm on Tuesday, March 21, according to the president of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomical Society. Consequently, this means Ramadan in the UAE will likely begin on Thursday, March 23, 2023, and will last 30 days.

According to custom, a moon viewing committee made up of religious scholars, scientists, and other authorities must identify the precise day of the beginning of the holy month while it is still dark. The circular states that federal agencies and ministries will have official business hours of:

  • 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
  • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday.

Prior to now, the FAHR provided information about this matter through a circular.

The circular states that federal agencies and ministries will have official business hours of:

  • 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
  • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday.

FAHR emphasized that, depending on their particular needs, ministries and federal agencies could implement remote or flexible working arrangements during Ramadan.
