Sub: New Profession List and Categorisation of Skilled/Unskilled from MOHRE
Dear valued customer,
Kindly note that the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has updated the categories of both skilled and unskilled worker and according to the update, there are a total of 9 (nine) categories of workers in the UAE (as opposed to the old system whereby there were 5 categories).
Categories:
A. 1-2 are SKILLED worker categories.
Requirements– MOFA attested degree certificate. Minimum Salary 4,000 AED.
B. 3-4 are SKILLED worker categories.
Requirements– MOFA attested Diploma or Secondary School/High School Certificate. Minimum Salary 4,000 AED.
C. 5 is a SKILLED worker category
Requirement– MOFA attested Diploma or Secondary School/High School Certificate & 1 hour mandatory training in TAWJEEH center. Minimum Salary 4,000 AED.
D. 6-9 are UNSKILLED worker categories
Requirements– 1 hour mandatory training in TAWJEEH center. (No Education Certificate required)
The first digit of the “Occupational Code” (Column 2) in the Professional Categories List, which is attached with this notice, indicates the category of the relevant job title and Column 7 (“Job Title English”) indicates the job title which needs to be referred to while determining the relevant Occupational Code. For instance, the Occupational code for a director is 112003 and category is 1.
